Slo-pitch is our specialty here in D31. This past summer, we won Gold in the Ontario 55+ Summer Games in Brantford, qualifying us to represent Ontario in the Canada 55+ Games in Quebec City.
The competition is a variation of co-ed. We had 3 women on our squad, two of whom had to be in the line up at all times. (Locally, we are a bit more progressive, with 4 women, 2 of whom have to be 65+). But we did alright anyway -undefeated right to the gold medal game, losing to Manitoba in the top of the 7th inning. So we went home proudly with our Silver medals.
The next Canada 55+ Games will be held in Aug 2026 in Winnipeg.
District 31 - Oxford/Elgin counties
We are pleased to be part of the Ontario Senior Games Association, providing sports and social games for all residents aged 55+. OSGA has been around since 1985. Our district was active up until Covid, but now we are back.
We have been rebuilding slowly over the past 2 years.
There are about 20 events in the summer and 10 in the winter. More information is available on the OSGA homepage under RULES.
Our district will focus on holding as many events as we can in Summer 2025, in order to qualify for the Ontario 55+ Summer Games in Sudbury on Aug 5-7.
In order to make this happen, we'll need help. We are seeking volunteers to help us get up and running.
If you are interested in being part of this adventure, please contact us. Events can be held anywhere in the 2 counties. We just need a sponsoring venue and a willing convener to put an event on the calendar.

In order to participate in our events, you will need to be a member of OSGA. Dues for next season will be payable on April 1st, for the year ending 31 Mar 2026. The fee is only $15.
The calendar of events will posted around Mar 1st.
Events will also be held in neighboring districts, and by mutual agreement, our members can be allowed to compete there as well. But we would like to hold a few events in our own area if possible.Read More
